Houston Eskimo Rescue

Houston Eskie Rescue (HER) is a volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and re-homing of American Eskimo Dogs and American Eskimo Dog mixes . HER works in cooperation with the national American Eskimo Dog rescue organization, Heartbandits. We employ strict guidelines for all adoptions and require that all adopting families consistently provide their dogs with annual health exams, heartworm and parasite preventatives, and vet care as required.

At this time, HER intake is closed. We are NOT accepting owner-turn-ins (OTIs) unless owners are willing to help with boarding costs through the term of the adoption process! We will assist owners seeking to responsibly rehome their dogs with courtesy listings, application screenings, and general advice if requested.
